About James Scott Morrison

Mr. Morrison is essentially self-taught. He took art in high school, a few evening classes and some watercolor workshops. He works in two different mediums. One is watercolor. The other is acrylic ink in which he does freehand line drawings with technical pens and the inks. He has won national awards with each medium.

Mr. Morrison's career path to professional art was unusual. After graduating from college with a degree in economics, he went into the Air Force to become a pilot. He flew F-86's and RB-66's in his nine year career. He then spent 28 years in the aerospace industry before turning to art full time a few years ago.
